Southern Wesleyan
University
Junior High Camp
Wednesdays 6:30pm-8:30pm
Each Wednesday, students gather at Laurel Wesleyan Church. There is a time of
games and/or sports. Then a worship service with a live band and sermon. After that
each student attends a small group to discuss the sermon and for accountability.
Service starts at 6:30, however, students are encouraged to come early.
Students are invited to come at 5:30 and purchase snacks and dinner from RJ's
Cafe'. The Menu includes chicken fingers, hamburgers, hotdogs, french fries,
snacks and drinks. Thanks Faith, E.J. and Jim and Ceil
Snack Shop Information
The first time you visit, we ask that you fill out an information card at the Welcome
Table. Mrs. Betty will welcome you and explain where to go and what to do when
you arrive. Then after that week you just need to check your name on the
attendance roster. This only takes a second, but helps us. Any other information
that you need for upcoming events is right outside of the restrooms at the church.
There is a mailbox there, where you can put forms and money in for events or any
other notes to Pastor Sue.
Small Group Information
Small groups are grouped together by grade/age level. Each group has two
small group leaders who lead, encourage students in their spiritual walk
and plan other events to promote unity.
Small Group Leaders are:

8th graders - Jesse- Jessye
9th graders - Karen- John - Terry
10th graders - E.J.- Crystal
11th graders - Chris- Irene

Worship
We are created to worship God naturally through music. We have a worship
service that is uplifting and exciting. Currently the band is searching for a name.
Any suggestions? The band is comprised of youth and young adults. Logan on
bass. Tyler and James on guitars. Chris on drums . Tiffany, Gabrielle, and
Paul on vocals. Pastor Sue on the keys.
Projection and Sound
Each week the Word of God is spoken. Tiffany Dirk prays and asks God to reveal
His Words for the students for the week. For the next few weeks, Tiffany is doing
a sermon series on A Hero Will Arise
Sermons
Each week, we use projection for announcements, worship, sermon notes,
pictures, videos and scripture. We believe in the use of multi-media to reach this
generation. Thanks, Jon and Jen
Sunday Nights - 6:00pm-7:00pm
Sunday Nights are very informal. This is basically a relationship building time
with one another. We play board games and sports outside when the weather
is nice. Bring your bat and glove.
Sign-In Table and Where can I find other information?
Sunday School is on Sunday mornings at 9:30am upstairs at Laurel Wesleyan
